Checked Baggage
Checked Baggage is any item accepted for carriage in the aircraft hold, including bags, musical, sports, mobility and infant equipment, etc.
Passengers
travelling on a reservation with checked baggage are required to check-in at the airport and are subject to an airport check-in fee of £4/€5 (or local currency equivalent) per person/per one way flight.
Each passenger is permitted to check in up to a maximum of 3 bags (combined
weight of 15kgs) subject to the payment of the applicable checked baggage fees. Checked baggage booked online is charged per bag/per one way flight at a discounted rate of £8/€10 for the first bag and £16/€20 for each additional bag/ per one way flight. If checked baggage fees are paid
either at the airport or through a Ryanair call centre, the standard rate of £16/€20 per bag/per one way flight will apply.
Cabin Baggage
One item of cabin baggage per person, weighing no more than 10kg and with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, may be carried
into the aircraft cabin free of charge (due to security restrictions - certain items cannot be carried in cabin baggage - click here for details).
Airport Check-In
* Each passenger checking in at the airport is subject to an Airport Check-In fee per one way flight of
£4/€5 (or local currency equivalent) which is payable at the time of flight reservation.
* Standard opening of check-in desks is 2 hours prior to scheduled time of departure.
* Ryanair recommends that passengers check in two hours prior to scheduled departure. Check-in desks
close strictly 40 minutes before scheduled departure. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and deny you boarding if you do not comply with the Check-in Deadline.
Online Check-In
* Qualifying passengers may check-in online free of charge from 5 days up to 4
hours prior to flight departure on www.ryanair.com.
* To qualify for Online Check-in each passenger must be an EU/EEA citizen (including Switzerland) and present either a valid passport or National Identity Card, issued by the government of an EU/ European Economic Area (EEA) country which
matches the document details printed on their online boarding pass, at both airport security and the departure gate. (See paragraph headed "Documentation" for details of accepted EEA National Identity Cards).
* The following passengers do not qualify for Online Check-in:
o
Passengers travelling with checked baggage
o Children aged between 14-18 years travelling alone
o Passengers travelling with infants (*)
o Passengers travelling with mobility equipment (including children's pushchairs)
o Passengers with
reduced mobility, blind/visually impaired passengers including those travelling with a sighted companion or guide dog (*)
o Passengers who require special assistance at the airport (*)
o Online Check-In is not available from Malta, Romania or Moroccan Airports
o Passengers travelling on a passport which is due to expire within 30 days from the date of travel
o Passengers who have reserved an extra seat for musical instruments, fragile/valuable items or comfort.
o When there are more than 9 passengers booked in a
reservation
o Passengers travelling on the same reservation with a passenger who is not entitled to Online Check-in.
Where a passenger is unable to avail of Online Check-in by reason only of a matter marked (*) above any airport check-in fee paid will be refunded
at the time the special services are requested or upon application. Where a passenger is unable to avail of Online Check-in by reason only of not being the holder of either a valid passport or a National Identity Card, issued by the government of an EU/EEA country, any airport check-in fee paid will
be refunded upon application. A refund of the airport check-in fee is only applicable to the person unable to avail of the service and not all passengers in the reservation.
